Young people have readily embraced the internet for learning and leisure. However, the ubiquitous online environment presents its own set of risks and teens do not appear to be as cautious as they should be when it comes to protecting themselves. Various reports, including Teens, social media and privacy, Where teens seek online privacy advice and Like, post, share: Young Australians’ experience of social media, indicate that today’s teens are sharing more information about themselves on social media sites than they have in the past.
