
A recent study, titled Digital technology and Australian Teenagers: Consumption, Study and Careers, was commissioned by the Australian Computer Society ‘with the purpose of generating detailed primary evidence about high school student use of ICT, perceptions of use of ICT at school, perceptions of ICT as a discipline, and motivations regarding career choices’. Two hundred and two students aged 12-18 years at eight high schools in the Australian Capital Territory were surveyed and interviewed to capture both quantitative and qualitative data.
